I can’t recommend Eric and Circle Up Therapy highly enough. After dealing with persistent issues for over a year, including months of working with another PT without seeing meaningful improvement, I came to Eric feeling pretty discouraged and skeptical about whether PT was actually going to help. My experience with Eric has been a complete change from that. What sets Eric apart is his holistic and highly personalized approach. The 1:1 time with him is incredibly valuable. He doesn’t just give you a set of exercises and send you on your way. He takes the time to understand what is going on, explain the “why” behind what you’re experiencing, and educate you on how different movements and behaviors may be contributing. That understanding has been extremely helpful because it allows me to make better adjustments outside of PT, rather than simply relying on what happens during an appointment. He also looks well beyond the exercises you do in the office. We’ve talked about practical lifestyle changes, daily habits, stretching, strengthening, and other things I can realistically incorporate into my routine. His recommendations are specific and actionable, and I’ve been able to put them into practice. Eric also introduced me to dry needling, which I was initially unfamiliar with and somewhat skeptical about. It has been incredibly helpful for me, particularly as a way to create the mobility and relief needed to make the stretching, strengthening, and exercises more effective. Most importantly, I finally feel like I understand what is happening with my body and have a thoughtful plan for actually addressing it. After my previous experience, that has been a huge change. If you’ve had a frustrating experience with PT in the past, are skeptical about whether PT can actually help, or are unsure about treatments like dry needling, I would 100% recommend going to see Eric. His approach is completely different from what I had experienced previously, and I only wish I had found him sooner.

There aren't enough words to express my gratitude for Eric. I walked in confused, in pain, & unsure what was going on with my knee. He didn't dismiss my concerns or my pain, & made a game plan immediately. He made a few calls & got me in with one of his most trusted docs within a couple days. When my scans came back negative, he didn't take that as an answer & continued to advocate for me thru & thru. I went under for surgery, & they discovered a rare injury that wasn't visible on an MRI. If it weren't for Eric, who knows how long I would have spent in pain without answers. When it was time to get back to PT, he knew my goals, created the best plan, & was there to support me every step of the way, every single day. I consider him & his team family, & I'm so thankful for them. There is nobody else that I trust as much as Eric and nobody else that I would rely on for treatment or advice.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Circle Up Physical Therapy and Dr. Eric Abramowitz! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, cared for, and confident that I was in the right hands. Dr. Eric is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in his patients. He took the time to listen, explain everything thoroughly, and create a treatment plan that actually worked for me. He has such a great way of making you feel comfortable while still challenging you to get stronger and better. What really sets Circle Up apart is the combination of expertise, personalized care, encouragement, and genuine compassion. You never feel like just another patient. Every visit felt productive, positive, and motivating—and I truly looked forward to going! If you’re looking for a therapist who knows what they’re doing, truly cares about his patients, and goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Dr. Eric and Circle Up Physical Therapy. They are absolutely amazing!

I started going to Circle Up about three years ago after a referral from a friend. I began with Dr. Eric at a different location and followed him to Circle Up KOP even though it is a little further from my home because the results were worth it. He guided me through recovery after hernia surgery using innovative techniques and holistic approaches that really worked. Even now, being in great shape, I still book routine maintenance sessions with him to stay ahead of potential issues. What truly won me over, though, was meeting Dr. Tara. She has been instrumental in coaching and rehabbing my daughter, helping her maximize her athleticism in both tennis and track as a high level middle school athlete. Her expertise, encouragement, and attention to detail have made a huge difference in my daughter’s performance and confidence. I highly recommend both Dr. Eric and Dr. Tara and Circle Up Physical Therapy as a whole for anyone seeking not only recovery but long term performance and wellness.

Eric has an incredible ability to know exactly what the issue is before he lays a hand on you! Within 2 sessions I was feeling much improved and on the path to being back to wellness. The entire staff is welcoming, helpful and makes you feel like you have been patient and part of the team forever.

Eric is without a doubt the best physical therapists in the greater Philadelphia area. I have had many injuries in the past, but Eric and his team have always done a great job of getting me back to full health quickly and keeping me there. I seriously could not say enough great things about Eric and his practice! Would be my first recommendation for anyone who is recovering from an injury or wants to improve the way their body functions.

Words don’t really describe the level of care I got with Eric. Eric helped me with several small injuries over the course of the years, but he got be back in record time from a full knee/ACL reconstruction. I am back doing jiu jitsu 7 days a week, no issues. Highly recommend

Eric guided me through a very difficult time after a complex leg break sustained while skiing--Tib/Fib. His professionalism, knowledge and facilities are unmatched. But it is his kindness and ability to make you feel like you are his only patient that truly sets him apart. I am back to doing everything that I love physically. And mentally I now know that I can recover from any physical set back, especially with his guidance. Since my big injury I have been back for a few nuisance issues that are quickly handled with a few visits and thoughtful at home care. I would recommend Eric and his team to anyone looking for a PT that truly cares...

Common questions

Answers before you book.

Straight answers on how we work, what to expect, and why our approach is different.

Do you take insurance?

We are out-of-network with insurance. This allows our therapists to treat you without the constraints of insurance based care. You’ll be one on one with your therapist and never rushed or managed from across the room like insurance-driven physical therapy. We provide detailed superbills you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. You may also use your FSA / HSA benefits.

Our therapists are credentialed with direct access licenses. This allows you to start your plan of care without a referral. If your specific situation calls for one, we’ll help you navigate it so you can get started quickly.

Your PTs get to the root cause of your pain. Using technology driven, evidence based rehab and one-on-one care every single visit. We coach you on the “why” and treat the cause, not just the symptom.

Youth, HS, collegiate, and recreational athletes, active adults in the gym or their sport, runners and golfers fine-tuning their form, and pre-operative and post-operative patients. From acute injury to chronic pain and post-op rehab to performance. If movement is part of who you are, and traditional PT has failed you in the past, we speak your language.

No. Dry needling is the use of a myofilament needle to treat musculoskeletal issues to release tension, decrease pain, and improve muscle performance. It’s grounded in modern musculoskeletal science and physical therapy — distinct from traditional acupuncture — and most people feel meaningful relief quickly.

Ready to move forward?

You don’t have to keep pushing through pain or guessing about your next step. Our physical therapists will help you understand the problem and create a clear path back to the activities you enjoy. Recovery with a game plan starts here.
